watson's bay promenade
Hey folks! I'm back again and ready to share some more of my sunny January adventures. In Sydney and wondering what to do? Why not try Watson's Bay? I know I've already talked about it in a previous post but it's quite worth it. Catch a ferry from Circular Quay and hop on a 20mn journey to Watson's' Bay! Famous for its stunning and luxurious houses, there's more to do in the bay than look at the penthouses along the shore. Walk the trail to The Gap, then walk back up to the famous Lighthouse. Once, you've walked in this summer heat you will just want to dip your head in the water! Lady Beach is one of the prettiest beaches in the bay but unfortunately, it is a nudist place so I don't really comfortable swimming there in swimsuit whilst everyone else is naked... I guess you have to be used to it ;) If you closer to where the ferry dropped you, you will have access to lovely still beaches.
Feeling hungry? You have two options. You can either go to the Doyle's take away fish and chips ($14 - $20) or you can treat yourself and go to their actual restaurant. Count a bill of $80 for two people with a drink. Their seasonal mojito is absolutely awesome!! Anyways, you will eat the best fried seafood and/or the best fish and chips you will ever eat. My personal choice: salt and perter calamari. Remember that Watson's Bay is a fisher's town, and this premises is probably the oldest in the place and the best. Worth it if you are not in Sydney forever.
